I alluded to this, so here it is - the alternate that I wracked my brain about, trying to decide whether to post this or the photo I posted previously. Like my brain usually does, it went 'both!' because I was an awful spoiled child and never understood why everyone didn't get what they wanted. Actually, that makes me sound less spoiled and more logical, but either way. Kitty...

Awwww, he's absolutely adorable! And to think I just replied to one of your comments with a big explanation of macro focusing - looks like you don't need the help! This is such a gorgeous picture. He's a lovely kitty and the photo is beautiful. I love how the focus is on his face and eyes and the rest of his body blurs into the background.

Thank you all over for the comments/compliments, they're super appreciated. Thanks as well for the explanation, cause this totally wasn't taken in Macro setting. It was just me sitting down next to her, I think in just a random person/face setting, and snapping shots until I got the one(s) I wanted. However, anytime I try and get any closer than this, it all goes to blur. Even under my camera's macro setting. I even tried setting the camera on a flat surface and trying to keep it totally steady - nothing, just utter blur. I'm hesitant to sit down with the manual, cause it's very phone-book esque, but think that's probably the best course of action.
